Nothing up until this point was even close to it
Featured on Graham Norton and guests: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). I have to say that I was lucky enough to watch The Bureau a few years ago and to be honest, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever watched. There was a correlation between the two series, obviously it was mentioned that it was "influenced" by it, but I didn’t expect a similar story.
You won’t regret it
Don’t get me wrong, the series so far is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it wasn’t anything I hadn’t already seen in the French version. It’s too early to tell how it’s going to be, but I recommend anyone who hasn’t watched The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional assassin in David Fincher’s The Killer and I saw that he was part of the cast, I knew immediately that he was a great choice for the role.
You either love them or you don’t, there’s no middle ground
These types of shows actually require a certain amount of concentration while watching them so that you can keep up with all the characters in the story and the little details about them. It’s not something you’d watch while riding your bike on your indoor trainer. Some would even consider them slow, maybe even boring, but it’s those complex personalities and personal struggles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, that’s what makes them great in my opinion.
